Callum O’Hare of Coventry City is reportedly a transfer target for should the January transfer window end.
It was thought that Foxes midfielder Cesare Casadei would play his entire season with Chelsea, but last week’s recall from his loan at King Power Stadium dealt a blow to the team. Stefano Sensi, an Inter Milan midfielder, is Enzo Maresca’s top transfer target this month.
O’Hare, who scored two goals in Leicester’s 3-1 loss to Coventry earlier this month, is reportedly a viable option for City, according to The Athletic. This summer, O’Hare’s contract with the Sky Blues expires, and he has been extended.
Last week, Coventry manager Mark Robins discussed the player’s contract status, saying, “We know where we are.” There’s really no denying that Callum is the one who owns the ball; it’s not the club’s responsibility.
No pressure is being applied by us or anyone else. Now that he’s in this position, he might want to investigate. I believe he has every right to do so, and he will eventually have the chance to do anything he wants to do if it’s something there for him.
“We know where it is, so in my opinion, there’s no need to push as long as he’s playing like he is and it’s not hurting him. It’s his moment. If you will, he has the right to carry out his current actions; all we need to do is allow him the time and space to do so. To be fair, I wouldn’t rule anything out or write it off.
