Coventry City owner slams ‘disgraceful’ banners shown before Leicester clash

Owner of COVENTRY City, Doug King, issued a statement denouncing the “disgraceful” flags that were hung prior to the Sky Blues’ matchup with Leicester.
In an effort to track down the individuals who hung the banners along the M69 on Saturday, the club is collaborating with West Midlands Police.
In addition, Warwickshire Police are looking into claims that, before to the game, a “offensive” banner featuring an image of a burning helicopter was draped over the A444.

2018 saw the death of Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in a helicopter accident.

Mr. King declared that this attitude had no place in football or in society at large, and he threatened to permanently ban anyone found to be associated with it from our club.

“With great passion and generosity, the late Leicester City owner and his family have supported their Club and their City, and they continue to do so magnificently.”

“I have followed their progress as a new owner and I still find inspiration in it.

“We all hope that these incidents never happen again because they soured the huge occasion that we had at Coventry City on Saturday.”
