This morning in Birmingham there was a horrifying crash that claimed the life of a man and injured two more. A automobile on the A45 Coventry Road crashed into a tree.
Today, Friday, July 26, just after six in the morning, West Midlands Ambulance Service crews were called to the intersection with Kings Road in Yardley. Air Ambulance’s critical care car, two paramedic officers, a trauma physician, and three ambulances were sent out.
At the scene, a man’s death was affirmed. A second man was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital after suffering injuries that might have been life-threatening. A male adolescent was brought to Heartlands Hospital with minor wounds.
“On arrival, crews found a car had come off the road and collided with a tree,” an ambulance service spokesman stated. Three patients were present. The first patient was a male in serious condition, and advanced life support was started right away by the ambulance crew.Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the spot after all attempts to save him failed. After receiving treatment for possibly critical injuries, a second man was transported under blue lights to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Major Trauma Centre in Birmingham for more care.After receiving treatment from medical professionals for injuries deemed non-serious, the third patient, a male teenager, was sent to Heartlands Hospital for additional care.
