City went into the break on a high after securing their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a stunning win at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
And after drawing 12-time winners Manchester United in the last four, Robins wants his players to turn their attention back to securing a top-six finish in the league.
Robins said: “We have had the distraction of the cup, and we don’t want that to impact on the league at all and that’s the challenge for us and the players, but we’re looking forward to it and getting back to league action against Huddersfield.
“We need to get back on track and attempt to score points in every game as we did in the past. There will be ten games in 36 days, and they will all be terrible assaults. The games are coming thick and fast.
This will be a really challenging game. They have enjoyed the previous two weeks under a new manager, who has given them the opportunity to work on things and try to instill some of the manager’s ideas and philosophy in the players.
“Every team we play from here until the end of the season will be fighting and scrapping as they are. Everyone is going through a difficult time, so we must accept it, strive to gain as many points as we can, and see if we can place in the top six.
With just 10 league games remaining and Coventry sitting ninth in the Championship table, four points outside of the play-off spots, Robins is excited about the final stretch.
“We have a minimum of 10 games left to play, hopefully more, but we’ll have to wait and see,” Robins continued.
“Every team we play has something to play for, and that’s the beauty of the Championship—there are teams fighting for their lives.”
“Games are enormous challenges that we must look forward to; there are no easy games for various reasons.”
The John Smith’s Stadium will host Coventry and Huddersfield on Good Friday, March 29, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.
