Road closed as rescue team struggle to save victims in ghastly crash in Coventry

After a two-car collision in Coventry that partially blocked a road, a woman was hurt. Early this morning, on August 22, a collision occurred on Ansty Road at its intersection with Sewall Highway.

At 8:40 a.m., the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) acknowledged receiving 999 calls for assistance. It was to report a collision involving two cars.

To the scene, an ambulance was dispatched. A portion of the road was blocked as a result of the collision, and West Midlands Roads issued a warning.

A WMAS representative attested to the fact that a woman required on-site medical attention. She was transported to the University Hospital in Coventry and Warwickshire, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

At about 8.40 a.m., we received a call regarding an RTC on Ansty Road in Coventry. When the ambulance arrived on the scene, the responding WMAS spokesperson stated, “crews found two cars involved in a collision.”

“A woman patient was the only one in need of evaluation. After receiving treatment for what were thought to be minor wounds, she was transferred to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for additional care.”

For approximately sixty minutes, a portion of the road was blocked.
