Crystal Palace have alternatives lined up if they do not end up signing Genk right-back Daniel Munoz, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The south London club are looking to bring in reinforcements for their squad ahead of the end of the window.
Palace want a new right-back in their squad and they have been looking at several players ahead of trying to secure a deal for a player.
The top target is now Munoz, and Crystal Palace has taken steps to possibly bring the Genk player to Selhurst Park.
It has been reported, though, that Palace has also prepared some possible substitute targets for Munoz.
In order to avoid overpaying for a player who turns 28 in May, Crystal Palace is eager to work out a reasonable agreement.
The team is ready to end the talks if Genk demands an exorbitant price for the defender.
If the Colombian defender cannot be reached to a deal, the Eagles are working on other targets.
