It is now said that Crystal Palace has made a preliminary inquiry to West Ham about Cornet.
The 27-year-old has featured only once in the Premier League for West Ham in the ongoing season.
Hodgson’s side have already brought in Daniel Munoz to strengthen his defence and have now shifted their focus to the forward department.
Now all eyes will be on Crystal Palace to see whether they will firm up their interest in Cornet with an official bid.
