Yesterday, April 15, three cars collided, injuring two people, one of whom had a leg injury.
Around 12:20 p.m. today, there was an incident on Ambleside Road; northbound traffic from Windermere to Ambleside was still experiencing delays of up to an hour.
There is a lot of traffic between Ambleside and Troutbeck Bridge in both directions, according to the AA route planner website.
Police and North West Ambulance Service were among the emergency services present.
According to a Cumbria police spokesman, “Cumbria police were called to Ambleside Road at 12:19 p.m.
“There were three cars involved. When the ambulance arrived, one person had a leg injury.”
At 12:38, two fire engines from the Windermere and Ambleside fire stations responded to a road traffic collision on Ambleside Road, Windermere,” a Cumbria Fire and Rescue spokesperson stated.
“Northwest Ambulance Service took care of two casualties after they were treated on the scene by the fire department. The crews spent two hours and thirty minutes on the scene.”
