This morning (August 12) there was a crash on the M25, which caused lengthy delays. The collision occurred at junction 1b for the A296 (Dartford) on the clockwise carriageway.
Just before 11 a.m., all traffic was momentarily stopped, and traffic was reported to be back at junction 31 for Thurrock, which is over the QE2 Bridge.

Police statement on truck and car collision
“Kent Police was called at 10.35am on August 12, 2024 to reports of a collision involving a car and a lorry on the A282, Dartford,” a spokeswoman for the force said.
“No injuries were reported, and the carriageway is now clear.”
Every traffic held
Earlier this morning, all traffic was stopped. “All traffic is temporarily held and queueing traffic due to an accident on M25 clockwise at J1b A296 (Dartford),” the information on the inrix stated. Traffic jams to J31 Thurrock and back across the QE2 Bridge.”
