A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death.
Shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday, emergency personnel were summoned to a residence located on Henderson Drive in Dartford due to concerns regarding a person.
A woman who had been stabbed was discovered at the address, and police and paramedics arrived. At the scene, she passed away.
Ernestas Juska, of Henderson Drive, Dartford, has been charged with murder, according to police.
Additionally, he faces charges of sexually assaulting a deceased woman.
He is still being held and is scheduled to appear in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Henderson Drive was taped off between Marsh Street and Cavell Crescent after the event so that police could conduct their investigations.
More than twenty-four hours later this morning, forensics officers wearing protective gear were also observed entering and exiting the property.
Later that same day, Juska, whom the victim knew, was detained and arrested in relation to the event.
The neighbours have already expressed how shocked they are by the reported murder.
When John Powsey awoke at around 8 a.m. on Saturday and noticed that there were no automobiles travelling up and down the typically congested road, he suspected something was off.
He claimed that throughout the day, police searched beneath cars, in people’s gardens, and in bins, in addition to the road cordon.
Taxi driver Shaun Green, who has lived in Henderson Drive for five years, said: “I knew it was serious when I saw the forensics here yesterday but we did not know for a while how bad it was.
“We hoped it was not as serious as it looked.
“I have never had any trouble around here. You see it on the news but you never expect it to happen next door.
It’s startling. Such incidents do not occur frequently.
Jim Dickson, the newly elected Labour MP for Dartford, expressed his sympathies to the victim’s family in a statement.
“The victim and everyone impacted by this morning’s tragic incident in Temple Hill are in my thoughts,” he added.
“Anyone with pertinent information should get in touch with the police, and I would like to thank them for their prompt response.”
