Paul Warne revealed reason why £5k-a-week Derby County is more‘perfect’

Derby are enjoying an excellent season in League One as they enter the final nine games inside the automatic promotion places.

The Rams are currently one point ahead of Bolton Wanderers, who are in third place and will play them on Saturday.

Even if it’s possibly their biggest match of the year, they still need to win tonight’s match against Reading.

After Reading defeated them 1-0 in the rematch, Paul Warne is now looking to exact revenge on his team.

The head coach of Derby has praised star winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing in remarks made prior to kickoff.

This season, the 31-year-old has been in incredible form, setting a record for the most assists in a single season (15) since records have been kept 28 years ago in addition to scoring nine goals.

Mendez-Laing, along with top scorer James Collins, has propelled Derby to promotion on his own, and Warne has now saved the most amazing praise for the winger.

Paul Warne describes Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as ‘perfect’

Nobody is ever called “perfect,” not even the world’s greatest athletes.

Although Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo came the closest to reaching perfection during their time at the top, many people think it’s impossible to become flawless at anything.

Despite this, Warne has called Derby’s Mendez-Laing ‘perfect’, and although it may seem like a lofty description for a player in League One, he has provided an explanation for his assessment.

“He’s flawless in his life; his locker would be spotless if you were to get it,” Warne stated on Derby’s official website. “He always seems perfectly moisturised; it may sound strange, but he’s always immaculate.” He struggles since everything about him is always spot on, and he becomes angry when things don’t go his way.

He is therefore simple to control as a player when things are going his way. He becomes irate when things don’t go his way. He’s not difficult to handle—I promise—but sometimes he puts himself in a difficult situation. However, all the best players do, as demonstrated by De Bruyne’s demeanour as he left the pitch yesterday raging.”

Mendez-Laing is having a near-perfect season

The significance of Mendez-Laing to Derby cannot be overstated.

The Rams have benefited greatly from his ability to create a magical moment out of nothing on several times this season. He is one of the team’s few players with such ability.

The £5k-a-week star lifts bums off seats when he picks up the ball in the left or right channel, giving the impression that something special is about to happen.

In addition, he has demonstrated his zeal on the pitch by contributing an incredible 24 goals across all competitions.

In fact, nobody can match the kind of effect he’s had in League One this season, highlighting his extraordinary talent.
