Tyrone’s appeal against Conn Kilpatrick’s red card last weekend to the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) has been turned down.
As a result, the midfielder for the Red Hands will miss today’s Allianz League Division 1 second round match at Celtic Park (3.45pm) against Ulster champions Derry.
Kilpatrick’s high challenge on Roscommon’s David Murray in the second half of last weekend’s league opener resulted in a straight red card for the player.
Following Central Council’s request for a one-match ban, the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) upheld the decision on Thursday night, and the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) will reject an additional appeal against the suspension on Friday night.
Tyrone brought the case before the DRA this afternoon (Sunday), but their request for temporary respite was turned down, according to RTE Sport.
