Children to enter the Detroit Lions contest to win a Thanksgiving Day star.

AMERICA (WNEM) – Thanks to a contest offered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and the Detroit Lions, Michigan kids in grades one through ten will have the chance to be a “Thanksgiving Day star” during the team’s game.

Enter the #MIKidsCan Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes now until November 10th.

The winner and their legal guardians will accompany the Blue Cross float down Woodward Avenue as part of Gardner White’s America’s Thanksgiving Parade®. At the 84th annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field, the winner will bring nine guests to the game and deliver the commemorative game ball on-field.

Visit the Detroit Lions website to enter the sweepstakes with your eligible kid or family. Applicants must include a statement on how they plan to get active for sixty minutes on Thanksgiving Day as part of their entry.

The Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes helps BCBSM continue its mission to promote children’s healthy eating and physical fitness through the #MIKidsCan campaign and its collaboration with the Detroit Lions’ Play 60 initiative.

The winner will be chosen at random by the Detroit Lions and revealed before the game.

  3. A custom jersey
  4. A commemorative football

  7. Ten club level seats at Ford Field to watch the Thanksgiving Day game
