The injured party’s The Detroit Pistons have inked free agent forward Kevin Knox to a one-year contract. Knox is a well-known player. Prior to being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, Knox played 42 games with the Pistons in the previous campaign.
For the Pistons last season, Knox, 24, averaged 5.6 points while shooting 37% from three and 46.9% from the field. He can play both forward positions, and given that Detroit’s injury report includes Joe Harris, Isaiah Livers, and Bojan Bogdanovic, he might see the court very soon.
After arriving in Portland, Knox saw increased playing time and a larger shot profile, but his efficiency dipped down to 44% overall and 41% from 3, netting 8.5 points per game.
The former New York Knicks ninth overall pick has been all around the NBA, playing in New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Portland, and back in Detroit.
Detroit has signed a free agent for the first time since the conclusion of the previous campaign, and all of the team’s roster spaces are now occupied.
