Dorking loses at home, and what the loss represents..

Goals from Michael Cheek and Callum Reynolds sealed a 2-0 win over Dorking Wanderers at Meadowbank on Friday.

It took just 13 minutes for the Ravens to break the dead-lock when Olufela Olomola found Cheek who calmly slotted home, finding the bottom right corner.

Up the other end, though, and Dorking had a chance of their own when Niall McManus cut inside before firing towards goal, but Lewis Thomas had it covered.

One should have become two on 25 minutes when Corey Whitely first saw his effort saved after driving forward before Cheek, hunting for his brace, saw a header denied by the Dorking ‘keeper too.

Josh Passley replaced Ben Krauhaus, who had to leave the game due to an injury, minutes before halftime, while Bromley had already made their first substitution of the half.

Olomola gave the visitors their first opportunity of the second half, hitting the post from a few yards away.

The clock then reached the hour mark, giving Bromley three chances in five seconds. The first was closed off.

Bromley saw out the clean sheet, but not before Thomas made an extraordinary save on 79 minutes to deny a header which was destined for the top corner.
