Grant McCann and Doncaster rovers fans sends emotional message to Tommy Rowe

A leader both on and off the pitch, Rowe has been a figurehead during his two spells, bringing undoubted commitment, determination and guidance throughout.

As he departs a club where he has been a tremendous servant, his presence will certainly be missed – as our package of video messages above shows.

Manager Grant McCann said: “I’ve got so much respect for Rowey. I played with him and I’ve managed him twice now.

His contributions to this football team are enormous, and the entire building will miss his warm and endearing demeanor.

“We are so proud of all that Tommy has achieved at our club both on and off the field,” stated Rovers Chief Executive Gavin Baldwin. Grant and others are free to discuss Tommy’s football career, but as a person, he ranks right up with everyone I have ever worked with.

We all valued his morals, honesty, compassion, diligence, and capacity for success on a daily basis. Tommy significantly improved the lives of people he touched via his work and was honored to serve as our player ambassador for the community.
