NEW DEAL | Zain Westbrooke extends Rovers stay*

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Zain Westbrooke has extended his contract with the team until the summer of 2026.

Before getting hurt, the midfielder was playing quite well for Rovers, and he just started playing again.

Westbrooke said, “I’m really happy to get this over the line.” “I’m eager about what lies ahead.

“I have been enjoying myself here from the moment I arrived. My family has really enjoyed living here, and everyone was quite nice.

“It’s been a pleasure to be a member of this team, and I hope that continues.”

Westbrooke signed a one-year contract with Rovers last summer after initially joining the team on a temporary basis in March 2023.

With 36 club matches under his belt, the 27-year-old has scored twice.

“It’s great news to have Zain on board for another two years,” stated manager Grant McCann.

“During his time on the club this season, Zain has performed admirably. It’s sad that he had the injury at that time, but he’s returning to his potential.

“We adore his enthusiasm and his ability to manage a game, and he will be a vital member of the team going forward.”
