One New Name To Watch Is Chide Nwigwe and he grew up a Duke fan too.
This is a name to watch out for: Nwigwe Chidi. In the class of 2026, he is a 6-7 player who is gaining a lot of attention as an emerging 5-star talent. Providence, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Texas, Illinois, and numerous other universities have all made offers.
However, he’s still available, has lots of time, and, according to Zagsblog, would like to speak with Duke about: “I would definitely love to receive an offer from and establish a connection with the blue-blood universities. Growing up, I was a big admirer of Duke under Coach K. They always have the greatest squad around, and it was entertaining to watch them.
Even though it’s still far too early to tell what he might accomplish or where he might wind up, and we don’t know if he genuinely fits into Duke’s plans, it’s still a good idea to bring him up.
Nwigwe has a ring to show Scheyer, and even though it’s doubtful that he recalls the 2010 Final Four and championship game, he’s still young enough to go out on the court and shoot with him. And few coaches can boast both of those qualities.
