Duke is enlarging the coaching staff with a well-known individual.

As director of player development, Justin Robinson, a five-year veteran of the Blue Devils, will rejoin Duke, head coach Jon Scheyer announced on Tuesday night.

Scheyer stated in a team release that “Justin Robinson embodies the values of our programme as well as anyone.” “Our present players will greatly benefit from his professional experience, work ethic, and understanding of Duke basketball culture. This embodies the essence of The Brotherhood perfectly. I’m thrilled he’s returning to Duke.

The Durham native, who was born in San Antonio, made 55 appearances in games during his time there. In 2017 and 2019, he was a member of two ACC Championship teams.

“Being a part of the team that Coach Scheyer is building and the programme that I have such a deep connection to is an incredible opportunity,” Robinson remarked. “I want to help players develop both on and off the pitch,”

He graduated from Duke in 2019 with a psychology degree, and obtained a master’s of management from the Fuqua School of Business in 2020. After his playing career, he played professionally in Europe for three years, including being on the San Antonio Spurs summer league roster in 2021
