Dundee Man charged after pyrotechnics set off

Police will request the man be banned from games over his alleged ‘culpable and reckless conduct’

Following the use of fireworks at Dundee’s match versus St Johnstone last month, a man has been charged.

Flares were set off in the stands during Sunday, February 11’s game at Dens Park.

Following the incident, a 21-year-old man was taken into custody, charged, and is scheduled to appear in Dundee Sheriff Court at a later time.

According to Police Scotland, the individual will be bound by rules prohibiting him from going to or entering any approved or regulated football game in the United Kingdom.

Regarding the man, a football banning order will also be sought due to his allegedly “culpable and reckless conduct,” according to the force.

A man has been prosecuted in relation to the usage of fireworks at Dundee’s match against St Johnstone last month.

During the Dens Park game on Sunday, February 11, flares were lit in the stands.

A 21-year-old man was arrested after the event, charged, and is expected to appear in Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.

The person will be subject to regulations that forbid him from attending or entering any sanctioned or controlled football game in the United Kingdom, according to Police Scotland.

Because of the man’s alleged “culpable and reckless conduct,” the force will also seek a football banning order against him.
