Jim Goodwin make Dundee United amendments amid row

As title pressure mounts, the Tangerines have two vital home games against Raith Rovers and Inverness.

In light of Dundee United’s defeat to Dunfermline, Jim Goodwin acknowledges that his team needs to “make amends” to the supporters.

In order to give the Tangerines a six-point advantage over title rivals Raith Rovers, the manager of the team is insisting that his players take advantage of back-to-back home games.

Rovers, currently tied for first place in the league, have a free weekend while United, who faces relegation-threatened Inverness at Tannadice on Saturday.

The promotion-chasing duo will square off the following Saturday in a match that could decide who finishes first in the standings at the end of the season.

Two victories for United would give them a sizable lead over the Kirkcaldy team and increase the pressure on them.

However, Goodwin is aware that his team will require the support of their supporters throughout the match, and United needs to win them over on Saturday.

The Tangerines manager stated, “Our top priority must be Inverness.”

“We’ve played some really close games with them.

“We are aware that there is a high standard for us. We need to play aggressively, and if we can win that one, it will prepare us well for a crucial matchup with Raith Rovers the following week.

“We are grateful to the supporters,” he continued. In droves, they made their way to Dunfermline. On Saturday, we hope to make apologies and they show up in large numbers.

We value our supporters, and if we can win them over and provide them with something to cheer about, then everything works together. So far, they have been in different classes.

“In the upcoming weeks, we will truly need them to motivate the boys.” We are hoping to perform well and make up for the disappointment from the previous weekend.

David Wotherspoon is still out of the lineup for Goodwin’s matchup with Duncan Ferguson’s Caley Jags on Saturday, but he otherwise has a nearly full roster.

The United manager anticipates the attacker returning soon, though.

He declared, “David is the only one who will be absent.”

He shouldn’t be too far away, and we’re hoping he returns as soon as possible.
