The 22-year-old spent the entire 2016–17 League One season playing in central defender for Accrington Stanley, appearing in 32 games.
Additionally, he led Wales’ U/21 team to victory against Gibraltar in 2022, and his nation has utilised him at the U/17, U/19, and U/20 levels.
In the summer, Astley re-signed a one-year contract with Everton.
But it appears that the English Premier League will let the young player to sign for Dundee for nothing, with an additional sell-on money included in the agreement.
