Woman, 72, found dead after house fire in Farnborough

A woman has been found dead following a house fire in Hampshire.

The body of the 72-year-old woman was found in the property in Rectory Road, Farnborough.

Crews were called to the house shortly after 10:00 BST by a caller who told the operator that someone was believed to be inside.

The woman’s body was discovered but she was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Hampshire Constabulary said it was not treating the death as suspicious and an investigation into the cause of the fire was under way.
