Things are going well at the minute” – Shaymen track at Town*

With Milli Alli gone, the winger is equal top scorer for Town this season, with just four other outfield players having played as much.

After playing in just 30 league games in the previous three seasons, Wright’s tenure on loan at Town last season was hampered by fitness concerns.

“I am in that zone and I’m just waiting for every game,” he stated.

“Now that I’m on the pitch, I’m thinking about can I score goals and get assists instead of just ‘can I get on the pitch?'”

“Let me clarify that, even if I’m in a pleasant place, I keep a watchful eye on things.

It’s not as simple as “okay, turn up and play.” I still take great care of my body and injuries, making sure that getting minutes is my first priority. Once I have minutes, I ask myself, “Am I starting?,” which is great, and then, “Okay, can I play well?,” before asking myself, “Can I get a goal or an assist?

“While I am in a decent place, I still have a lot of ideas about being fit and I don’t want to overdo it.

The staff and gaffer, however, are incredibly nice to talk to, and they have really helped me this year to get back on my feet.
