Bruno Fernandes slammed for ‘blatant cheating’ and ‘irritating’ antics in Man Utd loss’

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been slammed by football fans for his antics against Fulham.

The Portuguese ace could not contain his frustration during United’s 2-1 home loss to the Cottagers. Throughout the match, he could be seen arguing with the referee and shouting to himself and team-mates.
However, fans were particularly furious when he lost the ball in the second half and appeared to feign an injury to try and get the match halted. After his moaning carried on after the match, football supporters of all colours came together to blast the Red Devils’ captain.

“Great example to set for all the kids watching. No wonder grassroots is struggling for refs,” a second wrote. A third also added: “Disgraceful, and that’s meant to be the captain?”

They were supported by another fan who said: “Cheat should be given a three game ban for diving simulation and cheating.” Whatever Fernandes wanted to get out of his alleged antics did not work.

United thought they were on their way to a late point after Harry Maguire converted from close range to level the contest in the 89th minute. However, Alex Iwobi popped up in the final seconds to snatch the three points for the West Londoners.

United travel to Nottingham Forest for the FA Cup this weekend. The old competition is their last chance to win silverware this season
