Fulham and Fiorentina are keen on signing this summer, according to a report from Italy.
The midfielder joined the Brazilian club in 2023 and signed a deal until December 2026. He has also featured regularly for them, making 82 appearances, of which 29 are from this year.
Fiorentina have taken further steps to try and sign him, but they have to be wary of the tough competition from Fulham.
Viola News claims that the Serie A team has put in an offer of €12–13 million plus bonuses. Palmeiras has rejected this and is asking for about €25 million for the Colombian international.
It is said that Marco Silva’s team is currently in “pole position” to get his services. With João Palhinha’s transfer to Bayern Munich last week, the London club has already raised nearly €50 million.
To outbid rivals, Fulham can make an offer of €20 million plus a portion of the proceeds from the 24-year-old’s upcoming sale.
The Premier League team ‘can close’ the transaction, it is said. This implies that, despite a €5 million difference at this point, Fulham appears hopeful about reaching a deal with Palmeiras.
