Man United in one on one talk for a swap deal to fulham

Manchester United battled to a much needed win over Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Before Bruno Fernandes’ long-range goal in the closing minutes gave the Red Devils all three points, Erik ten Hag’s team had lost eight of their first fifteen games of the season in all competitions.

The victory keeps United in eighth position in the Premier League standings, but the home crowd will probably be disappointed with their team’s performance at Craven Cottage once more.

Only a few days after being spotted in a nightclub on the eve of United’s Manchester derby loss to Manchester City last weekend, Marcus Rashford was not present for the game in the capital.

Ten Hag stated that the forward was substituted in the starting lineup because the England international had not passed a late fitness test by Brazilian Antony. Now, though, reports claims that the winger could soon leave Old Trafford.

According to The Mirror, United is trying to sign Gabriel Barbosa from the Serie A team, and Antony might be offered to Flamengo in January.

Barbosa, 27, has scored 20 goals in 55 games for the Brazilian team this season across all competitions. It is rumored that United is keeping an eye on the forward as they look to expand Ten Hag’s offensive options.

In light of this, the Red Devils may propose to loan Antony to Flamengo in exchange for Barbosa, who has 139 goals in 246 games for his current team.

After Ten Hag left the Eredivisie team to join United at Old Trafford, Antony, 23, transferred from the Dutch club Ajax to United last summer.

His time in Manchester hasn’t gone to plan so far, though, with the Brazil international having scored eight goals and provided just three assists in 54 appearances across all competitions.

The winger cost United around £82 million when they signed him from Ajax last summer, but he could be used in an attempt to lure Barbosa from Flamengo.
