Thiago Silva was struck on the side of the head by Fulham striker still Avoid Punishment..

Carlos Vinicius of Fulham smacked the side of Thiago Silva’s head.
He has made light of the circumstances in which Vinicius escaped punishment.

Following Carlos Vinicius of Fulham’s escape from penalty for punching a Chelsea defender in the head, Thiago Silva responded on social media.

Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja scored for the Blues on Monday night to help them win 2-0 and return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Following a weekend of VAR debate, Fulham striker Vinicius had one moment of insanity during the match at Craven Cottage that went unpunished.

Vinicius’s 57th-minute headbutt on Silva, which some have compared to a karate chop, infuriated Chelsea supporters because he somehow avoided receiving a booking.

Not even in the UFC is this punch permitted, stated Silva in a post on his Instagram story. It’s cool, though.

Vinicius ran over to Silva and smacked him on the side of the head without even attempting to play the ball off his fellow countryman from Brazil.

Vinicius pushed his opponent in the back as Silva collapsed to the ground while defending the ball, frustrated at not being able to take the ball away from him.

The 39-year-old then stood up again to speak to Vinicius, but his teammate Levi Colwill extended his arm to prevent him from approaching the Fulham attacker.

The incident comes in the wake of the significant dispute that occurred during Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to Tottenham on Saturday, when the Reds’ goal by Luis Diaz was incorrectly ruled offside.

It resulted from confusion between the on-field officials and those at Stockley Park, with VAR officer Darren England mistakenly thinking the goal had already been given before telling referee Simon Hooper “check complete.”

Following the altercation involving Silva and Vinicius, critics of VAR once more erupted.

It was a red card for Vinicius with that karate chop, one fan wrote. F*** officiating in this nation, f*** VAR.

The @FA and @FA_PGMOL should discuss this and explain to us why it wasn’t a red card offense, another person commented. Carlos Vincius should receive a retroactive 3-game suspension for his intentional attack on Thiago Silva.

The UFC elbow to the neck/back of Silva may have landed him in a retirement home, according to a Chelsea supporter.
