This weekend, four men were taken into custody by Luton police who were “catching rays and organised criminals” after discovering five kilogrammes of narcotics and almost £100,000 in cash.
Officers working as part of Operation Costello, a taskforce cracking down on organised crime, raided properties in Shaftesbury Road and Crawley Road and arrested two men in their 20s, one in his 30s and one in his 40s. They were charged on suspicion of supplying a controlled Class A drugs.
The force found wads of cash totalling £115,000 and five kilograms of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine – with an estimated street value between £92,000 and £113,000. Bedfordshire Police said they also seized two high-value watches, one vehicle and “lots of digital devices”.
