Man dies in fatal crash on the M26 has been named-Gillingham

On June 21, a two-vehicle crash on the coastbound side, close to Sevenoaks, claimed the life of courier driver Ismail Shore.

Just after 11 p.m., the 32-year-old driver of a white VW Caddy van on Pier Road in Gillingham collided with a BMW 1 Series.

At Wrotham Heath, authorities from the air ambulance, police, fire department, and paramedics were dispatched to the situation, which was located between M25 and M26 Junction 2a.

On , June 22, at the Maidstone inquest, it was revealed that Mr. Shore was a self-employed London native.

Police identified him after the fatal collision. The force is still urging anyone who has dashcam footage or information to come forward.

According to Coroner Roger Hatch, a driver who was behind the cars saw the crash and noticed Mr. Shore was unconscious in the VW Caddy when he got out to help.

Multiple traumatic injuries was listed as the reason of his death. The driver of the BMW was slightly hurt.

On September 11, a complete inquest will take place at Maidstone’s Oakwood House.
