KENT, Wash. – Kent Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found near railroad tracks on Sunday.
Officers were dispatched to the BNSF tracks near 1st Ave. N and W. Sipe St. around 2:50 p.m. after a 911 caller reported finding a dead person.
First responders thought the man had been deceased for at least a day when they found the body.
When officers questioned nearby residents if they recognised the individual or had seen anything strange recently, none of them responded, according to Kent Police.
Since no identification or personal items were found at the scene, the man’s identity is still unknown.
The man has black hair, is 5’5″ to 5’7″ tall, and weighs 130 to 150 pounds.
The man’s cause of death is being looked at by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, with a particular focus on whether or not a passing train caused his injuries. In addition, Kent Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s demise.
