Police launch murder probe after man found dead in Gillingham

Following a man’s death in Gillingham town centre today , police have opened a murder inquiry.

At approximately 1:10 PM, police were called to Fox Street and upon arrival, they discovered a male in his 30s suffering from “injuries consistent with a stabbing”

Images taken earlier today when the situation was still going on showed an air ambulance landing close by.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene when they arrived with South East Coast Ambulance Service; police report that no arrests have been made as of yet.

A spokesperson stated: “An investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident has been launched by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.”While investigations are still underway, officers are still present at the location.”
