A second individual has been taken into custody by Medway police who are looking into the strange death of a man.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023, the 46-year-old man was taken into custody when Gillingham resident John Convey, 53, passed away.
The corpse of Mr. Convey was discovered on a grassy ledge in Lower Twydall Lane on Thursday, July 13, shortly before 11:30p.m.
A 41-year-old male was previously taken into custody by Major Crime Unit detectives from Kent Police in relation to the incident. He is free on bond until September 11th as the matter is looked into further.
At this point, the cause of Mr. Convey’s passing is yet unknown.
Appeal
The investigators are still urging anyone with information that could help with the investigation to get in touch with them. It is also requested that residents with private CCTV and drivers equipped with dashcams search for pertinent footage.
