In the wake of a heist at a Gillingham supermarket, police have released a photograph of a lady they are trying to identify.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at around 3:15 p.m., a woman broke into the Asda shop located on Station Road and took several bottles of alcohol. She hurled one of the bottles at a staff member when she was confronted by them inside the store, but it missed its mark.
“We take reports of violence towards retail staff very seriously and we are carrying out a full investigation into this matter,” stated Dorset Police Police Constable Lily Cambridge-King.
Outside the store, she was confronted by employees once more and threatened them before fleeing the area.
“As part of our ongoing inquiries, I am now able to release an image of a woman we are trying to identify. If you recognise her, please get in contact.”
