A woman has been arrested following a robbery at a supermarket in Gillingham.
The woman stole multiple bottles of alcohol from the grocery during the heist at the Asda store on Station Road.
A woman was confronted by staff, and it was said that she ‘threw one of the bottles’ at one of the staff members without hitting the grocery employee.
Before leaving, she allegedly ‘threatening staff’ outside the store, according to police.
“It was reported that at around 3.15pm on Monday, May 6, a woman stole a number of bottles of alcohol from the Asda store in Station Road,” a spokeswoman for Dorset Police stated.
“She allegedly flung one of the bottles towards a staff member when she was confronted by them inside the store, but it missed its mark.
Before leaving the area, she allegedly threatened the employees outside the establishment.
“After an image appeal and police inquiries, a 34-year-old local woman was taken into custody on charges of theft and robbery.
“While investigations are ongoing, she was released on police bail.
“We are appreciative of everyone who shared our appearance.
