Kent Police has asked anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to come forward
Following a collision with a car in Gillingham, a motorbike rider passed away. Witnesses to the collision from yesterday, are being urged by police to come forward.
At around 2:15 p.m., police were dispatched to Richmond Road in response to a collision between a black Mercedes convertible and a black Triumph motorcycle. Additionally on hand were crews from the air ambulance and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The man in his 40s who was riding the bike passed away at the site. According to Kent Police, his next of kin has been notified.
Due to the collision, Richmond Road was blocked in both directions. It is thought to have occurred in the vicinity of Chatsworth Road and James Street.
The road was reopened at about 9.15pm last night. Witnesses to the collision are urged to contact Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798 538, quoting reference HW/DH/76/23 or email sciu@kent.police.uk.
