A father was pissed after spending $2,500 on courtside seats and seeing Stephen Curry ignore his child.
The father of an NBA fan who spent $2,500 to purchase courtside seats for his son has blasted Stephen Curry, claiming that Curry ignored him when they waited to speak with him after the game before heading for the tunnel.
Although Curry’s comment regarding Luka Doncic in the original post was totally needless, it has started a discussion. NBA games are expensive to watch, but sadly, the experience is all about the game. Athletes are not guaranteed to visit every person seated courtside and engage in conversation.
Making an exception for a child usually is the case, but Curry goes over to a bunch of children to give his shoes away. He almost ran into the kid waiting, so he could have waited a moment longer. But again, after a game, not all players want to greet every child that comes up.
Unfortunately, the child didn’t get to have that experience, but it’s also unfair to always expect athletes to greet every single person around them. Some are glad to, some do it often, and some don’t. It’s their prerogative. Hopefully, the money spent on the tickets led to a unique experience of watching a live game, as that’s what they usually lead to.
Stephen Curry Has Had A Hot Start To The Season
Presumably, the family got courtside seats for last week’s Warriors vs. Rockets game, where Curry dazzled throughout the fourth quarter. He led the Warriors to victory over the Rockets with 14 points in the fourth quarter, a game that featured several heated exchanges with Dillon Brooks.
Curry’s amazing crossover on Brooks set up one of the game-winning baskets, causing the Rockets’ swingman to wildly jump in the air in an attempt to disrupt Curry’s flow. The 2022 Finals MVP drained a three-pointer in his face when it failed. Curry was even reportedly trash-talking Brooks, as seen by a video leak. After the game, he made fun of Brooks’ manner of play.
“We know what he’s about and his reputation, I don’t get caught up in that. I just play basketball. So, you let the game do the talking. … There’s a lot of history with him particularly. At the end of the day, you just hoop.”
Outside of that performance, Curry has had some solid games to start the season. He is averaging 31.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists and has led the Warriors to a 4-1 start. He’s had two 40-point games already and is currently shooting 45.9% from three with 12.2 attempts per game. His numbers are on pace to be better than his 2016 MVP year, which is an incredibly scary thought,
During the 2020–21 season, when the Warriors were not particularly competitive and did not make the playoffs, we witnessed a similar spike in Curry’s averages. Due to the Warriors’ poor record, he wasn’t discussed as the MVP that year, but he had one of his best individual seasons ever, averaging 32.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists.
This year, he should be able to repeat it, but the Warriors are very strong. Draymond Green is healed, Chris Paul has returned to full fitness, and Klay Thompson is once again hitting game-winning shots. The Warriors are focused on winning a championship, therefore there are no negative energy in the locker room.
