Good news; Warriors’ injury absence returns …

SOUTH FINLAND — For the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Klay Thompson was back in the starting lineup.

Thompson, 33, missed the Warriors’ prior game due to discomfort in his right knee.

Thompson returned to action, and the Warriors went with their standard starting lineup. In the backcourt, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson teamed up, with Kevon Looney, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins completing the starting lineup. Chris Paul started the game on the bench for the third time in a row.

With a left knee contusion, Jonathan Kuminga missed the Warriors’ previous game as well. He was labelled as questionable for Wednesday’s contest. Kuminga was “going to warm up and see how he feels” before the game to see if the third-year lottery pick will be available off the bench, according to coach Steve Kerr.

Due to a sprained right ankle, star guard De’Aaron Fox missed the Kings game, leaving them without a vital player.

“Tonight is the ultimate trap game,” Kerr declared. “This has been witnessed a million times by you guys. A star player departs from a team. In a game we played here last year, I believe Phoenix in and spanked us despite missing four of their five starters. I have so already issued the warning to our players.
