Man dies in early morning from Grimsby river

Man dies after being pulled from River Feshney in Grimsby

After being retrieved from a Grimsby river, a guy passed away.

At about seven in the morning on Wednesday, there were worries for the safety of a man in the River Freshney, so police were summoned to Humber Terrace.


After being pulled out of the water and brought to the hospital, he passed away shortly after.

Det Ch Insp Jon Cross stated: “We are seeking to identify the man and determine the precise circumstances leading up to his death, which is currently being treated as unexplained. At this point, we are in the very early stages of our investigation.”

“As a part of lines of enquiries detectives are working to understand the man’s movements including how he came to be in the water.”
