Man ‘seen carrying knife 4 dead 15 injured’ in Grimsby town centre*

A man was reportedly threatening someone in Grimsby with a knife when police were called to the scene.

The alleged incident was reported at approximately 10.20 a.m. on Wednesday in Victoria Street. Following the dispatch of officers, a male was taken into custody.

Paul Draper, 58, of Faulding Way, Grimsby, was charged with two counts of possessing a bladed weapon in a public place and threatening someone with a bladed weapon in a public place, according to a statement released by the police today. He was placed under arrest pending his appearance before Grimsby magistrates this afternoon.

“A man has been charged after we were called to reports of a man carrying a knife in Grimsby yesterday (Wednesday),” a Humberside Police spokesperson stated. Two counts of having a bladed weapon in a public place and threatening someone with a bladed weapon in a public place have been brought against Paul Draper, 58, of Faulding Way in Grimsby. He is scheduled to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court this afternoon after being remanded into jail.

Around 10.20 a.m., a man was spotted walking down Victoria Street with a knife, and it’s said that he threatened someone in the public. A male was taken into custody at the location after officers were called.”
