Police have officially verified that a man was tragically discovered deceased in a tent in Cleethorpes today.
On Sunday morning, a member of the public got worried about the individual who was in a tent close to the beach on Meridian Road, so they alerted Humberside Police. The man had died, the officers found out when they arrived.
Officers from the sites of crime started their investigation after cordoning off the area. The police have notified the man’s family and are offering them support.
“Officers are currently in attendance on Meridian Road in Cleethorpes after we were called to reports of a concern for safety this morning (Sunday, November 19) at 10.45am,” Humberside Police said in a statement to Grimsby Live this afternoon. When they got there, they found a dead man inside a tent near the beach.
“His family has been notified, and we are thinking of them during this trying time. While detectives pursue leads to learn more about the circumstances surrounding his death, which is presently being investigated as unexplained, a scene guard is scheduled to stay in place.
