Following a police pursuit through the towns of Ripon and Harrogate, North Yorkshire Police has taken three persons into custody in relation to an incident.
After a police chase through the cities of Harrogate and Ripon, three people have been arrested by North Yorkshire Police in connection with an incident.
Tuesday, March 19, around 1:45 PM, members of the North Yorkshire Police Operational Support Unit made an effort to pull over a Volkswagen Golf that was travelling on the A61 near Ripley.
The car took off quickly and was followed through the communities of Shaw Mills, Bishop Thornton, and Bedlam before coming to a stop on a Markington country lane.
When the vehicle’s occupants fled, a large number of resources were dispatched to the scene.
A police dog was involved in the search and a police helicopter was sent to assist with checking a huge open area.
Three men, ages seventeen, eighteen, and twenty, were taken into custody in relation to the event.
There is currently an investigation in progress.
