Hearts Star Holds contract amid fans confusion at the club.

Jorge Grant says the club has the final say, but he would be happy to talk about a new contract.

At the start of this season, midfielder Steven Naismith told him he was free to leave, and he has since admitted he was looking for a new team. However, no action was taken, and the 30-year-old succeeded in re-entering the boss’s plans.

Grant has shown well in the few games he has started, despite not always starting, and he frequently contributes significantly when he comes off the bench. Despite the dismal start to the season, he has secured four goals, six assists, and a penalty in Saturday’s victory over St Mirren, leading the team to a comfortable third place.

The former Peterborough and Lincoln man’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, but he would be willing to extend it once he and his family moved to Edinburgh.

As stated by him to the Edinburgh Evening News, “That really depends on the club.” I’m content here, and I’m completely open to talking about it with them if they so choose. The family has moved up and is enjoying their new home, which is great, but all I can focus on right now is football, which should improve in the future.

“My folks are doing well. Over the past six months, a significant number of people have increased their visits. It’s far superior. My girlfriend is pregnant again, so it was crucial that she come up here with me. It’s been difficult without them. She needs to be with us, and I can assist her in taking care of the little man. Having a regular life after training is over is nice. Really, things are back to normal.

“Like I mentioned in my first year, when I wasn’t playing, I wanted to be playing a little bit more, but that’s normal for any football player. Everyone wants to be on the pitch, but I found that the season got off to a slow start. I’ve gained a lot of experience over the past two or three months and have demonstrated my ability to produce quickly, but I still have a lot more to offer.”
