David Marshall admits his Hibs display against Aberdeen was one of his best for the club.

The veteran Easter Road No1 was on top form as he kept Barry Robson’s men out in the capital with a string of big saves including a penalty from Bojan Miovski as Nick Montgomery and his troops made it three Scottish Premiership wins on the bounce ahead of a trip to Glasgow to face champions Celtic under the lights on Wednesday night.

The Hibees won 2-0 thanks to goals from Dylan Vente and Will Fish, moving them to within two points of third-placed Hearts. They’ve played one more game than Steven Naismith’s team and are presently in sixth place following the weekend results. Marshall has been pleased with his performance since the arrival of the new management and intends to maintain it. He stated that there is a’real unity’ in the squad, which is aiding in results and performances.

“It’s probably because of the number of saves I had to make,” he told Hibs TV. It was one of those days as a keeper; I’ve been pleased with my performances since the new Gaffer arrived, so I’m just hoping to keep it up.

“There is a lot of confidence in the group right now, and the good thing is that everyone has been involved.”

“Today, we had Lewis Miller suspended and Jordan Obita injured, but Stevo and young Rory came in and played well.” Everyone has got a chance to make an impression.
