Hibernian target permanent deal for Manchester United defender

Will Fish, a defender for Manchester United, is someone Hibernian manager Nick Montgomery says he would “love” to sign permanently.

It is obvious that the Scottish team wants to retain the centre back when he returned to them in the summer on a season-long loan.

Montgomery stated, “I would love to keep Will, not just this season but on a permanent deal,” in an interview with the Edinburgh Evening News. The child is only twenty years old, and he gets bigger every week. His performances, in my opinion, belie his age. He performs like a seasoned pro. He’s incredibly low maintenance, as evidenced by the daily training sessions and the amount of work he puts into games. I believe he has a bright future ahead of him.

What United has in store for Fish is still unknown, but that is what matters at the end of the season. Prior to making a decision regarding the player’s future, Erik ten Hag and his coaches will need to keep a close eye on him or send him back for preseason.

Naturally, Hibernian’s desire to retain Fish after his loan agreement is encouraging, but will they be able to keep other parties from showing interest? Fish’s pleasure in playing regular football under Montgomery is probably a plus for them.

The defence for United has struggled with injuries this season, but rumours have it that Ten Hag hopes to add a new centre back in 2024. In an attempt to determine whether he will ever have the opportunity to make an impression at Old Trafford, Fish will be closely monitoring events at United.
