transfer update as Hibs boss confirms financial implications

Josh Doig enjoyed a successful stint at Hellas Verona and is ready for Ligue 1 move

Nick Montgomery has been optimistic that he can leave his mark on the Hibs team by bringing in young, talented players to help in the second half of the season now that the January transfer window is open.

Hibs, who have so far struggled with squad depth this 2023–24 season, will play Rangers, Kilmarnock, St. Mirren, and Celtic in the course of a month following the winter break. “I am aware that the club made investments in the signings they made during the previous window during the off-season. If that occurs, I’ll probably give Ian a call to ask him to add a few more pounds to the budget. I’m not sure what the specifics are or if it all becomes clear at once. However, it’s great news for Josh and the club.

“We want to return to being a team that produces young players and sends them abroad because the transfer can only benefit us in the long run. It also demonstrates how attending Hibs can provide players with a legitimate platform to achieve greatness, which would enable us to reinvest.
