Two cars, a VW Polo and an Audi A3, and a camper van had collided on the road, which runs from Holmfirth across the moors to Greenfield
One person was killed and several injured in a crash above Holmfirth.
A camper van and two automobiles—a VW Polo and an Audi A3—had crashed on Greenfield Road, which connects Holmfirth with Greenfield across the moors.
Just after 4:45 p.m., the Yorkshire and North-West Air Ambulances arrived on the scene and transported two injured individuals to the hospital.
After receiving a call, firefighters from Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, and Cleckheaton released the camper van’s driver, who was stuck by his legs.
Two people in the Polo were injured when it veered off the road, and one of the men inside died.
“It happened on the undulating stretch about half a mile past Wessenden Head,” Slaithwaite resident Watch Commander Matthew Green stated.
“When we arrived there were a man still in the Audi and a man in the driving seat of the camper van, but everybody was out of the Polo.
