DBs get a surprise gift-Blake Cashman

Cheers to Thursday, the last day of the week!

On Wednesday, Blake Cashman was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. Cashman recorded one quarterback hit in Week 6 and concluded the game with career-high totals in tackles (15), passes defensed (two), and tackles for loss (two).

“The coaches think I can succeed in that role,” Cashman remarked. “They are comfortable placing me in that role to protect the person who is positioned second.” Every week, we work on it several times, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Thanks to a kind donation from Jimmie Ward, the Texans defensive backs will travel in luxury.

QB C.J. Stroud continues to be the topic of conversation regarding his rookie year thus far, despite not playing on Sunday.

Pat McAfee stated on his broadcast, “But what the Saints weren’t able to do, is get a dub on C.J. Stroud.” “He continues to be the Rookie of the Year favourite.”

After the first six games of the season, Pro Football Focus has given many Texans players—including Cashman, Will Anderson Jr., and Nico Collins—very good grades. In this week’s Deep Slant episode, PFF NFL Analyst Sam Monson discussed Cashman, Stroud, and Bryce Young.

Recently, Cashman made an appearance on Texans Huddle, where he talked about his move from the New York Jets to Houston, the reasons for his success, and how he finds the ball in DeMeco Ryans’ offence.
