DEC 18 RUINS DURING PLAY According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, quarterback Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles (sickness) is “feeling well enough to go” and will play against the Seattle Seahawks tonight.
After showing up with a mysterious sickness on the Saturday injury report, Hurts left the team and travelled alone to Seattle.
DEC 17 HURTS INDEFINITELY Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, now seems to be trending negatively ahead of Monday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Hurts’ illness, which prevented him from practicing on Saturday, has been upgraded to questionable after it “worsened overnight,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
According to Schefter’s tweet, “Eagles are downgrading QB Jalen Hurts to questionable for Monday night’s game in Seattle after his sickness worsened overnight.” “Hurts is travelling to Seattle apart from the team in an attempt to avoid making anyone else sick, and he still hopes to play on Monday night.”
DEC 16 JALEN IS SICKLY HURT According to Eagles reporter Jeff McLane, Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, is sick and won’t be practicing on Saturday. He is anticipated to go to Seattle with the squad on Monday night in order to play the Seahawks.
The fact that Hurts missed a practice for whatever reason is always going to draw attention, but Eagles supporters may exhale with relief in knowing that this isn’t a problem related to the persistent knee injury he has been dealing with this season.
If you ask Hurts, he’ll likely tell you that getting sick is the last thing that will deter Philly from playing the Seahawks, a game that they must win to maintain control of their own fate and secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
Hurts has completed 286 of 430 passes for 3,192 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions this season in addition to accumulating 460 yards and 12 rushing scores on 126 carries.
BIG DOM DEC 9 Due to his involvement in the sideline confrontation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw last week, the NFL has banned Philadelphia Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro from the sidelines for the team’s road game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
DiSandro will continue to perform his regular duties during the game on Sunday. It’s uncertain how long this sideline suspension will last for the rest of the campaign.
But according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, this choice looks to be ongoing.
“DiSandro and other Eagles’ officials met Friday morning at the league office in New York with commissioner Roger Goodell,” tweeted Schefter. “The league still is reviewing additional material to see if further discipline is warranted.”
Following the announcement on Saturday, the Eagles issued the following statement:
“We are going to respect the current restriction, and we are in communication with the NFL about this.” Dom will continue to play for the squad in all other roles even though he won’t be on the pitch this Sunday.”
DEC 6 LINEBACKER, EAGLES CUT Ahead of their Sunday game against the Dallas Cowboys and in light of the addition of former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard, the Philadelphia Eagles are making roster changes.
On Wednesday, the Eagles promoted receiver Greg Ward to the practice squad, cut receiver Cam Sims from the practice squad and waived linebacker Chrisitian Elliss, who started in Sunday’s 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Each player had strong collegiate careers before becoming key contributors for the Eagles in the NFL.
SHAQ LEAVES JERRY ON NOV. 28 Dallas was the first to fire. Next up is Philadelphia.
Shaq Leonard, a free agent, had lunch with club owner Jerry Jones at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday as part of a recruiting visit.
