Police statement after boy riding scooter hit by car in Huddersfield

West Yorkshire Police responded to the scene in Almondbury.

On Thursday, January 25, a kid in Huddersfield was struck by a car.

On Thursday, January 25, at 4:56 p.m., West Yorkshire Police were called to Town End in the Almondbury neighbourhood of Huddersfield in response to a car striking a kid on a scooter. Despite the boy’s hospitalisation, no significant injuries were reported.


According to police, the youngster was admitted to the hospital for a series of preventative measures.

“Police were called to Town End, Almondbury at 4.56pm yesterday to a report a boy on a scooter and a car had been in collision,” a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police stated.

“No serious injuries were reported, but the boy was taken to hospital for a precautionary checks.”
